The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell, Royers Round Top Cafe and The Hidden List Blog present a savvy chic luncheon at Rachel Ashwells' amazing new Bed and Breakfast in Round Top Texas. What a wonderful event that Kelley Copeland of thehiddenlist.com has put together for bloggers. And in true Rachel Ashwell style it was simple, you didn't have to know anyone to get in, or be anyone special, or have a secret society get you in.......you simply had to just have a blog and be one of the first 35 to respond. How great is that......you can image how excited I was to think I could possibly be included, waiting on pins and needles to hear back from her to see if I made it. As anyone who knows me knows......I am a HUGE Rachel Ashwell fan and have many of her things in my home. I was lucky enough to get to meet her last year at a book signing at the Junk Gypsy's tent and this year I am again blessed to be able to attend this event. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit the non-profit group, Dwell with Dignity that was also featured on the Nate Burkus show in August. Lunch will be served by Royers Round Top Cafe, and a meet and greet with Rachel Ashwell herself. (Swooning) And there will be a chance to win prizes by blogging about the experience. One of the prizes being a membership to Bud Royers' Pie of the month club and signed copies of Rachels' latest book. Okay, its all a bit too much for me I am going to have to take a breath....... Can it be??? I still don't believe it. Feeling ohhhhh so lucky and very blessed for this opportunity. Pinch me cause it can't be true........Can Texas get any better????? Little Dean is 1!!!!

Little Deans' first birthday was August 25.......I can't believe it! He's a year old. When the photographer came to do the photos for the party, I took the opportunity to get some shots of he and I together. Love how they turned out. Of course, I had to wear WHITE and do them in my bedroom which is WHITE........I will never tire of the white on white look of photos. Hope you enjoy them......I am truly blessed to get to spend my days with this little angel, he really is as sweet as he looks.......Cheers, lauri
