Marburger Farm Round Top, Texas Spring 2013 Lauri Evans Designs

Finally getting around to posting some pictures of my space at Marburger this time.  This was a fabulous dresser, it had three matching pieces and a headboard all sold to different people!

My buddy Kurt made these amazing bed crowns out of french bedrails then painted them, they were 2die4!!!

I absolutely loved how this came out, I had no idea when I got to TX I had so many black suit cases, some where in storage and some I took with me some I bought there, when I got them all together they were killer!!!! All sold but 2 and went to Dallas.

As always Texas was an amazing show. It never disappoints, and even the weather was not so bad this time, some rain, lots of wind, and surprisingly COLD! crazy for Texas.  Cheers, lauri

Autumn Faith Evans arrives.......

I'm finally getting time to update my blog after a much too long hiatus.  But, there have been a few things to keep me busy around here.  You are looking at the main one!  My sweet son and daughter in law blessed us all with this bundle of joy on March 21 of this year.  She is the most precious thing you have ever seen........As I type this she is 6 weeks old and I am going to try to post this in order to get you all caught up.

Little Dean meets his sister for the first time, nana is holding her and Dean just isn't quite sure about her, but begins to open up to her real quick.

My son, Adam, Katie, and Autumn Just a few hours after she was born.

Here are some shots of the nursery Katie and I designed for her

These ruffled curtains where my first and LAST!  19 rows of linen ruffles, I thought I would never finish them.  but, I love how they turned out.

Little Dean being a great big brother!

I felt so fortunate that Katie ask me to come stay with them when they returned from the hospital.  Of course, I dropped everything to go be with them.  And the first thing I did was called a newborn photographer that a friend had told me about and had her come and do photos at just 6 days old.  These were some of my favorites.

Yep if you can't tell, I'm pretty crazy about these two and look forward to many many long days with them, weeks, months, years...........cheers, lauri

New Years Eve Wedding Reception.......

Happy New Year everyone! I couldn't wait to share some photos of this New Years Eve wedding reception Katie and I designed for a cute couple yesterday.   It is so funny that I was just saying to a friend a few months back how I would love to do a Christmas styled wedding and what do you know I get a phone call and here it is.  The Bride and Groom were married in the Bahamas on Friday, and flew back here for their reception. It was held at the Quinlan Arts Center in Gainesville, GA.  It was a beautiful place to have a reception.  I chose to use white lilies, pine and cedar for the table arrangements, and garden roses and peonies for the bouquets.

Bridesmaids bouquets.

Love the way the lilies and pine look together.  Now on to the next one!  Cheers, lauri

Shelby and Zach's Rustic Wedding

This October I had the pleasure of designing a wedding for a sweet bride that I have known for years.  It seems like she should be 10 years old but, she is a beautiful young lady now and had some great ideas for a wedding in a barn type setting with a rustic flair.  I must add that all this would not have gone on without all the help of my most hard working daughter in law, Katie who also directed the wedding..........

The arch was so pretty, I did it with fresh and dried flowers, somehow I did not get a good picture of  it

lots of white pumpkins everywhere......

First time I have worked with succulents, these are so popular for weddings now, they were stunning.....

I love how the doors of the barn came out.

she chose to use chairs and hay bales for everyone to sit on at the ceremony, love this idea.........

All in all it was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding.................now on to the next one!!! Cheers, lauri
