Ali and Derricks Vintage Wedding Reception

Hey, y'all, wanted to share with you some photos from the wedding reception I did for my friend Lynn's daughter. I had no idea when I agreed to help with the design of this reception how much fun it would be. Her daughter, Ali was so much fun to work with and literally liked everything I wanted to do. She would say, "just do what ever you want." Really, are you kidding? This never happens to me. So needless to say I went a little over the top with my displays. With over 500 people invited and around 50 tables to decorate, I chose to mix the displays between floral and vintage collections, to not be so cookie cutter as most weddings are. Ali, loves rusty and worn old things, as much as I do so this was a delight for me. The tablecloths were burlap and I added vintage crochet scarfs to the centers. Her colors were lapis (dark purple) and khaki. Hope you enjoy the pictures.......

The barn doors were stunning with wicker bells, probably the most inexpensive display I did....

I painted blue hydranges purple, cause they were cheaper...... I love the way they turned out!

Inside the barn......

One of my favorite collections, love tulips.....

these lanterns were on 9 different tables, they were amazing......

I rented furniture for the dance area/lounge in white leather and lapis suede, yummy. I also, made her initial burlap pillows for the sofa. then she can use them at home.

I bought this cool old tool bag from my friend Shelley in Texas, love the touch of the old dirty canvas......

This fish bucket floral was a favorite.

This old buggy had been in her family for years, it was in great shape, and her dad was so sweet to haul it out to the event for us. And of course, I had to decorate it with old luggage and a trousseau....

I had Ron from Lakewood paint this cool old cedar sign for them to hang at the entrance where they were presented when they arrived......

These cake pops from The Sweet Spot, Lauren Shirley, in Lawrenceville, GA, were a big hit. Love her attention to detail......

These buckets were hanging at the entrance and I stamped the date on them. Can you tell how much fun I had. And a big thank you to Ali and Derrick for letting me be a part of your special day!!!!! Cheers, lauri
