Always my favorite, Cody Foster

I feel fortunate to live so close to Atlanta, and be able to go down and see the gift show every time it comes in town. Obviously, I can never get enough of mercury glass and crowns........there were lots of new vendors this time but, not really my style. Always fun to go and get inspired, though. Hope you enjoyed the photos. Cheers, lauri

Georgia or Alaska........

Holy cow...........where are we? I have never seen this much snow in Georgia in my life. And yes we are paralyzed......not used to this here. First it started with about 6 to 8 inches on Sunday night and then each day the high as been in the 20's and we are just stuck. Yes it is beautiful, but we Georgians just can't take it, I mean we are used to wearing flip flops in January. I finally ventured out today to go up to Lakewood and get things organized for the show. But, who knows if anyone will be able to show up. However, I will be there because cabin fever has set in. Hey and check out that little bear cub my son caught in his front yard!!!!! He's so cute!!! Cheers, lauri

My favorite number is 2........

I want to thank everyone who played along in my little giveaway. How fun! And I wanted to say that I have decided that I will have two winners and not just one. So they are..........

Karen from A'musements and Theresa from Attic Rat!!!!

Yayyyyyyy, so if you guys will email me your address you will get what you wished for, and for Karen you will get your own personal seamstress (funny girl). laurievans74@yahoo.com.

I also wanted to feature the grain sack pillows, or nubby pillows as Shelley calls them. They are one of a kind pillows made from an old grain sac, that I got from a guy at Lakewood Antiques Market. They are usually stained and holey so I just cut them up and stamp them and make these pillows. The fabric is very heavy and rough and that's what Shelley liked. And, several people had commented about the bedroom picture in the first post. That is not my bedroom, it is however, a bedroom that I sewed the panels and window treatments for, for a decorator show house years ago. Thanks for your interest. Cheers, lauri

Be careful what you wish for.........

Because you just might get it!!!!! Well, in this case that is a good thing.......I woke up feeling very generous today and decided how about giving something away.......but, I want to hear from you. What do you like??? I made another black velvet pillow with the rhinestone brooch and you can have that if you choose, but if you have seen something else that I make that you would like to own, I would like to know about it. Just leave me a comment and tell me what you like and well, you just might get it!!!! I will put every ones name in a hat next Sunday, January 9th and on Monday I will let you know who the winner is. Isn't this exciting?? Exciting for me because I like feedback, I want to know what you would like to have for your very own. So I hope you play along. Cheers, lauri
